This doesn't mean you won't have to endure a lot of learning, but it will be easier than starting from scratch. Becoming a surgeon also puts you in the middle of an elite medical community that most of the general public doesn't have direct access to and you can learn a great deal about the world, the human body, and advanced discoveries in medicine just by being a part of these communities. |
